BACKGROUND: Elaine was born in Lubbock, Texas in 1953 to Mr. and Mrs. Evertt L. Huffard. She spent from age nine to eighteen in the Middle East where her family were missionaries. She has one brother,
Dr. Evertt W. Huffard, who is the Dean of Harding University Graduate School of Religion.
FAMILY: Elaine married Darrell Denman in 1976
who currently serves as minister for the Forest Mill Church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. They have one son, Jonathan, who is a clinical psychologist working in Nashville, Arkansas. He is married to Kate, and they have one son (my grandson), Josiah.
EDUCATION:
1975 - BA in Bible at Harding University.
1976 - post-graduate work in Education at Abilene Christian University.
1994 - Master's Degree in Counseling Ministry at Lincoln Christian Seminary.
2001 - Master of Divinity from Regent University
2006 - Doctorate of Ministry Degree with an emphasis on Marriage and Family at Regent University.
MINISTRY EXPERIENCE:
Local church involvement for 27 years in women's, teens, and children's ministries.
Over 10 years of active participation with summer youth camps.
Guest speaker for retreats and Ladies' Days throughout the U.S.
Speaking mission trips to Germany, Russia, and Phillipines.
Speaker for lectureship classes at Harding, Abilene, and Pepperdine.
Adjunct instructer at Harding University Graduate School of Religion for course in Women's Ministry
